Step 3: Upload Supporting Documents
Scan and upload all required documents such as academic certificates and identity proof. Ensure they adhere to the prescribed file size and format instructions.
Step 4: Undergo the Selection Process
Depending on the program you choose, you may need to:
Take an online entrance examination, or
Participate in an online interview (usually required for working professionals, who may be exempted from the entrance test).
Step 5: Make the Fee Payment
After successfully clearing the selection criteria, proceed to pay the applicable fees through digital payment methods like net banking, debit card, or credit card.
Step 6: Receive Admission Confirmation
Once all formalities, including fee submission, are complete, your admission will be officially confirmed, granting you access to SRM’s online learning environment.
Note:
As per UGC norms, all candidates must generate their Academic Bank of Credits (ABC ID) and Digital Education Board (DEB ID) to complete their enrollment. SRM Online conducts admissions twice annually—during the January/February and July/August sessions.

Students are required to have a desktop/laptop with a webcam to attend the exam, as it is online proctored.
Scanned answer copies for descriptive questions need to be submitted before the exam time ends.

Hostel Facilities
SRM University has extensive and well-equipped hostel facilities for its on-campus students across its various campuses (Chennai, Sonepat, Ramapuram). These include separate blocks for boys and girls, furnished rooms (AC and Non-AC options), mess services with varied menus, internet, recreational facilities, and 24/7 security.
However, for students enrolled in SRM University Online programs, hostel facilities are NOT provided. Online education is designed for remote learning, and students are expected to arrange their own accommodation. The university explicitly lists "Students enrolled in a part-time, evening course, correspondence or any external course of study" as non-eligible categories for hostel admission.
