केन्द्रीय-संस्कृत-विश्वविद्यालयः (Central Sanskrit University) is a Dual-Mode multi-campus Sanskrit University. It offers various attractive Learning programmes through Regular and Online/Distance mode. It is renowned for its expertise in Sanskrit studies and its commitment to fostering a deep understanding of the language, ancient scriptures, and cultural traditions associated with Sanskrit.

‘मुक्तस्वाध्यायपीठम् (MSP)’ केन्द्रीयसंस्कृतविश्वविद्यालयस्य दूरस्थशिक्षासंस्थानम् अस्ति । अन्तर्जालमाध्यमेन/दूरस्थशिक्षा-विधिना संस्कृतभाषायाः शास्त्राणां च बोधनाय नानाविधपाठ्यक्रमाः मुक्तस्वाध्यायपीठेन सञ्चाल्यन्ते । मुक्तस्वाध्यायपीठस्य मुख्यालयः नवदेहल्यां वर्तते । मुक्तस्वाध्यायपीठस्य शैक्षिकगतिविधीनां / पाठ्यक्रमविकाससम्बद्धानां कार्याणां सम्पादनाय प्रतिष्ठापितं शैक्षिकविकासकेन्द्रं शृङ्गेर्यां केन्द्रीयसंस्कृतविश्वविद्यालयस्य राजीवगान्धीपरिसरे वर्तते ।

Mukta Swadhyaya Peetham (MSP) is the Distance Education Institution of Central Sanskrit University. It promotes Sanskrit & Shastric learning through Online & Open Distance Education. शैक्षिकविकासकेन्द्रम् (Academic Development Centre) of MSP was established at R.G. Campus, Sringeri for undertaking activities related to programme development.

मुक्तस्वाध्यायपीठेन सञ्चाल्यमानेषु पाठ्यक्रमेषु व्याकरण-ज्यौतिष-साहित्य-दर्शनादिशास्त्रीयविषयाः, भारतीयज्ञानपरम्परासम्बद्धाः, संस्कृतिसम्बद्धाः चेति विविधविषयाः समाविष्टाः सन्ति । एतेन अध्येतारः संस्कृतभाषायाः गभीरताम्, तस्याः ऐतिहासिक-सांस्कृतिक-दार्शनिक-पक्षान् च सूक्ष्मतया अवगन्तुं सदवसरं प्राप्स्यन्ति । राष्ट्रियशिक्षानीतेः अन्वितिः एतेषु पाठ्यक्रमेषु वर्तते ।

अस्माकं आन्तर्जालिकमञ्चानां चर्चागोष्ठीनां च माध्यमेन अध्येतॄणां विविधपृष्ठभूमिकैः सहपाठिभिः सह संवादं कर्तुम् अवसरः भविष्यति, येन समृद्धं शिक्षणवातावरणं प्राप्यते। सामूहिकचर्चया छात्राः विविधैः दृष्टिकोणैः चिन्तयितुं शक्नुवन्ति, येन बुद्धिवैशद्यं प्राप्तुं शक्नुवन्ति।

प्रत्येकं पाठ्यस्य निर्दिष्टाः शिक्षणाङ्काः भवन्ति । प्रत्येकं पाठ्यस्य अध्ययनस्य परिपूरणेन छात्रः निर्दिष्टान् शिक्षणाङ्कान् प्राप्नोति । तान् शिक्षाङ्कान् सः शिक्षाङ्ककोषे संरक्ष्य नियमानुसारेण भविष्ये नियमानुसारेण विविधेषु पाठ्यक्रमेषु योजयितुम् प्रभविष्यति ।

Credit System

Credits are assigned to each course. After completing each course, learner will earn the assigned credis which he can deposit into his credit bank and utilize/add/combine the credits as per rules in future.

सामान्यतः प्रत्येकं शैक्षणिकवर्षे जुलै/अगस्त-मासे, जनवरी-मासे चेति प्रवेशचक्रद्वयं भविष्यति । (परन्तु प्रायोगिकसौकर्यं उपलक्ष्य, अस्मिन् पर्याये प्रथमचक्रस्य प्रवेशारम्भः सप्तम्बरमासे भवति) । भविष्ये केषाञ्चन पाठ्यक्रमाणां कृते प्रवेशः वर्षे द्विवारम् उद्घाटितः भविष्यति । केषाञ्चित् पाठ्यक्रमाणां तु वर्षे एकवारमेव प्रवेशः भविष्यति । एतद्विषये स्पष्टं विवरणं तत्तद्वर्षस्य प्रवेशविवरणिकायां उल्लिखितं भविष्यति । तथापि इच्छुकाः अभ्यर्थिनः वर्षस्य मध्ये अपि अग्रिमसत्रे प्रवेशाय अस्थायिरूपेण (तात्कालिकतया) स्वनाम-पञ्जीकरणं कर्तुं शक्ष्यन्ति । तादृशानाम् अभ्यर्थिनां नामानि प्रतीक्षासूच्यां स्थापयिष्यन्ते । अपि च समुचिते काले विधिवत् प्रवेशाय आवश्यकसूचनाः/अधिसूचनाः च तेभ्यः प्रेषयिष्यन्ते ।

Generally, there will be two admission cycles in every academic year i.e. in July/August & January. (For operational reason, this year the first cycle will be commenced from September). In near future, admission for some programmes will be open twice in a year and some other programmes will be commenced only once in a year. Please refer to the programme list & prospectus of the particular session for more details. However, interested candidates may provisionally register their name at any time throughout the year for the next immediate session. The names of such candidates will be kept in the waiting list and necessary updates/notifications will be sent at the appropriate time.

कश्चिदपि समानकाले अधिकाधिकं पाठ्यक्रमद्वयम् एव अध्येतुम् अर्हति । यथा – कस्यचिदपि विश्वविद्यालयस्य नियमितः/ODL/Online अध्येता तत्रत्य-पाठ्यक्रमेण सह मुक्तस्वाध्यायपीठस्य एकस्मिन् पाठ्यक्रमे प्रवेशं प्राप्तुम् अर्हति । अथवा मुक्तस्वाध्यायपीठस्य एव पाठ्यक्रमद्वयम् वा समकालं प्रवेष्टुम् अर्हति ।

A student can pursue maximum two academic programmes - one in full-time physical mode and another in Open and Distance Learning (ODL)/Online mode; or up to two ODL/Online programmes simultaneously. (Ref. UGC Letter No. - D.O. No. 1-6/2007 (CPP-II)(New) Dated 13th April 2022)

अवधेयम् (Note) - छात्रेण स्वीकृतयोः द्वयोः पाठ्यक्रमयोः आन्तर्जालिकक्षा, प्रदत्तकार्यसमर्पणावधिः परीक्षादिनाङ्कः इत्येतेषु विषयेषु दिनाङ्कः / समयः आकस्मिकतया भवति चेत् तत्तत्कार्यस्य कृते समयसारिणी न परिवर्तयिष्यते । तादृशसन्दर्भे अध्येता उपर्युक्तकार्याणि अग्रिमपर्याये (पाठ्यक्रमाय अनुमतावधौ) पूरयितुम् अर्हति।

Note - There will be no change in the counseling/assignment submission/examination schedule in case dates for the above clash in the programmes in which a student has taken admission. In such cases, candidates may complete the above-mentioned works in future before the expiry of study tenure.

🌟 About CIQA

The Centre for Internal Quality Assurance shall be established by MSP/CSU. It shall be headed by a full-time Director, being an experienced academician, preferably from the field of Open and Distance Learning and/or online education, who shall be supported by adequate number of academic and other staff. It shall function as per the guidelines given in the Regulations.

The objective of Centre for Internal Quality Assurance is to develop and put in place a comprehensive and dynamic internal quality assurance system to ensure that programmes of higher education in the Open and Distance Learning mode and Online mode being implemented by the MSP are of acceptable quality and further improved on continuous basis.
