Components: The examination for each semester consists of two main parts:
Internal Assessment (IA): This component carries 20-30% of the total marks. It evaluates the student's practical understanding through academic activities and assignments submitted throughout the semester.
Term End Examination (TEE): This component carries 70-80% of the total marks. It assesses the student's overall theoretical understanding and is conducted at the end of each semester.
Mode: Examinations are conducted in a proctored online mode, meaning students appear for exams from their location under remote supervision.
Structure (typically for End Semester Exams):
MCQs: 50 Multiple Choice Questions, each carrying 1 mark.
Descriptive Questions: 4 descriptive type questions out of 6 options, each carrying 5 marks. Answers for descriptive questions must be handwritten on university-prescribed sheets, photographed, and uploaded to the LMS. Typed answers are not acceptable.
Pass Criteria: To pass a course, a learner must secure a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate (total of Continuous Assessment and End Semester Examination) and a minimum of 28 marks (40%) out of 70 marks in the End Semester Examination.
