It’s also certified under ISO 9001:2015 standards. The university’s Center for Online Learning has established an Evaluation Policy for its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Examinations are conducted twice a year, in June and December, through online mode at specified examination centers.

The assessment for the MBA program comprises two main components:
Formative Assessment (Continuous Assessment) with a weightage of 30%.
Summative Assessment or Term End Examination with a weightage of 70%.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of the assessment pattern for the online MBA program:
1. Self-Assessment Questions (SAQ):
This component focuses on continuous formative assessment.
Each unit consists of 10 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), designed to assess remembering and understanding skills.
These questions are non-graded and serve as practice questions.
2. Formative Assessment for Domain Core Courses, Specialization Courses, and Generic Elective Courses:
Formative Assessment includes two parts:
Formative assignment I: It comprises 20 MCQs (MCSR, TF, FIB) with unit proportionality, carrying 1 mark each, for a total of 20 marks.
Formative assignment II: This includes 5 MCMR type questions based on a situation exercise, with each question worth 2 marks. Formative assignment II totals 10 marks.
The questions in both parts are designed to assess remembering, understanding, and applying acquired knowledge skills.
The combined performance of formative assignments I and II is evaluated for a total of 30 marks, with a passing percentage of 40%.
3. Summative Assessment / Term End Examination (Proctored Examination):
Summative assessment comprises two sections with a total of 70 marks.
Section I (A): This section contains 40 MCQs (MCSR, TF, FIB) with unit proportionality, assessing remembering, understanding, and applying acquired knowledge skills.
Section I (B): This section includes 5 MCMR type questions based on a situation exercise, evaluating analyzing and evaluating skills. This section is worth 10 marks.
Section II: This section features 3 subjective/descriptive questions, and students must attempt 2 out of 3. It assesses analyzing and evaluating skills and carries 20 marks.
The combined performance of Sections I and II in the summative assessment is evaluated for a total of 70 marks, with a passing percentage of 40%.
4. Evaluation of Generic Core (3 Credits):
This component includes Formative assignment I, consisting of 30 MCQs, and Formative assignment II, which comprises 10 MCMR type questions. The questions assess remembering, understanding, and applying acquired knowledge skills.
Formative assignment I is worth 30 marks, and Formative assignment II is worth 20 marks, with a combined passing percentage of 40%.
5. Grading and Award of Class:
Grades are awarded based on total marks obtained in each subject using a 10-point scale, as follows: O (Outstanding), A+ (Excellent), A (Very Good), B+ (Good), B (Above Average), C (Average), P (Pass), F (Fail), and AB (Absent).
6. Grace Marks:
A maximum of 1% of total marks can be awarded as grace marks in different courses, with a maximum of 5 marks in one course.
There is no provision for re-evaluation.
Students must retake the course exam within the valid period if they fail to meet the minimum passing criteria.
