About UGC NET 2025
The UGC NET 2025 Notification was released on April 16th by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The UGC NET exam is held twice annually, in the June and December cycles, to assess candidates' eligibility for Assistant Professorships, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or both, at Indian universities and institutions. The application forms for the June cycle have closed, and the exam is scheduled to take place from June 21st to June 30th, 2025.
The UGC NTA NET exam is divided into two sections: Paper 1, which consists of 50 questions, and Paper 2, which has 100 questions. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours (180 minutes), with a maximum score of 300 marks. The exam will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format by the NTA in the upcoming future.
